Labubu is a strange creature, born from the imagination of Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung. It's part of the " The Monsters " universe, a series of figurines published by the Chinese brand Pop Mart. Sold in " blind box " form, these small plush toys, about 8 to 10 centimeters tall, are packaged in closed boxes, which means you never know exactly which model you'll get when you buy them.
In each series, there are one or two so-called “ Secret ” figures, meaning they are not displayed on the packaging and are randomly inserted into an extremely limited number of boxes. These special versions have a completely unique design, often very different from the basic style of the series, and are much rarer. Some secret Labubu appear in one in 72 boxes, others in one in 144 boxes, which makes them almost impossible to obtain without a huge stroke of luck. And it is precisely this rarity, combined with hyper-creative designs, that makes their resale value skyrocket.
From the " Big Into Energy " series, the Labubu Energy Secret is a visual powerhouse. This model immediately stands out with its iridescent rainbow eyes and teeth, which catch the light in an almost magical way. Its face retains the typical mischievous expression of the Labubu plush , but in this version, it is dressed in an ultra-soft furry gray suit, evoking both an adorable monster and an intergalactic mascot.
The contrast between the dark fur and the ultra-colorful eyes creates a hypnotizing effect that appeals to collectors and fans of striking visuals alike.
In terms of rarity, this secret Labubu is very difficult to obtain, with a very low drop rate (1/144). It is not featured on the boxes, which adds to the total surprise effect when opening.
On resale, it regularly sells for between €350 and €500 , sometimes much more if still sealed.
In the “ Have a Seat ” series, most Labubu are depicted sitting in various postures. But the Secret Labubu in this series is a visual gem: all dark brown fur, sitting upright, arms slightly open, and a characterful gaze. His expression is a little more serious than usual, almost intimidating, which gives him real personality.
Its print run is also very limited (1/72 or 1/144 depending on the series), and the Labubu Secret Have A Seat has become one of the most viral secrets on TikTok, notably thanks to its cozy design and calm attitude.
On resale, it generally reaches €280 to €400 , sometimes much more depending on the country and condition.
This is one of the most successful crossovers in the Labubu universe. For this collaboration with Coca-Cola, Pop Mart hid a Secret Labubu inside a metallic red can featuring the famous drink. Inside, we discover a plush Labubu, hidden up to its shoulders, with its two large ears protruding from the aluminum lid, as if it had just come out of a refrigerator.
The rarity of the Labubu Secret Coca Cola is reinforced by the fact that it is only found in the Coca-Cola series, which is already very limited to begin with.
Authentic copies fetch over €300 on resale, sometimes up to €500 for those still in their blister packs.
