How did Air Jordan come into being?
In the '80s, when the sporting goods market was largely dominated by Adidas, Converse and Nike, one of these brands was going to be the talk of the town: unsurprisingly, it was the brand with the swoosh. At a time when athlete sponsorship was taking off, Nike followed suit, signing its first contract with Michael Jordan in 1984. The offer was quite tempting: in addition to a clothing line created in the basketball player's likeness and an annual salary of $500,000, Nike offered the athlete a commission of 25% for each pair of sneakers sold. Michael Jordan, originally a fan of the three-stripes brand, took a long time to think things over before finally agreeing to sign the contract. Needless to say, the choice the sportsman made that day was surely one of the best of his life. Indeed, the release of the first Air Jordan saw a meteoric rise in popularity, which was to form part of the basis of the brand's explosive and enduring reputation. However, the red and black colors of Air Jordan 1 displeased the NBA: they were deemed too different from the sneakers worn by other players, and would not match Michael's outfit Jordan. But with its marketing experience, Nike saw an opportunity in this problem: an advertising campaign displayed the Jordan 1s masked by large black squares, clearly showing Nike 's refusal to comply with NBA requirements. The pair became known as Air Jordan Bred Banned. This marketing strategy was an immediate success: the desire to break the rules with a pair of sneakers extended far beyond the basketball court, becoming a sign of rebellion for the young people who wore them.
Jordan junior, Jordan 1 bébé, Jordan 1 mid enfant... Where to find them?

Jordan girls and Jordan boys: what are the best Nike Jordan kids?
Wondering which pair is for girls and which is for boys? Don't worry: every one of our kids' sneakers is unisex. But... Perhaps you're also wondering which sneakers to choose for your little one. Here again, we have the solution: discover our selection of Jordan Kids.
To get things off to a cheerful start, we suggest that little feet get dressed in blue with the Jordan 1 Mid Washed Denim: as the name suggests, the Nike children's sneaker features a denim base topped with sky-blue pieces. This contrasts perfectly with the white swoosh and midsole.
Unlike the Nike Dunk for kids, with a more sophisticated look, we turn to the Air Jordan 4 Retro White Oreo, which features a white leather base matched by a matching mesh piece. The whole is enhanced by a few gray inserts stitched with light black spots. Finally, what could be more original than a pair of Jordan White Oreo Kids to stand out in the playground?
On the other hand, for more sobriety, we prefer the classic Air Jordan 1 Mid Triple White, which, despite the single color they wear, retain an unmistakable style. Indeed, its class lies in its uniformity: all in white, this Jordan will match any outfit your child wears. Finally, the toebox's perforated leather provides the relief that Jordan Triple White Kids needed.
Last but not least, one of our favorites is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Taxi for kids: the combination of yellow and black is one we fully endorse, as it will be perfect for highlighting a basic outfit. Wearing the colors of a New York cab, this Air Jordan Retro Kids displays a vintage style we can't get enough of. In the same vein, we love the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Varsity Red.
And if Air Jordan are all a bit of our favorites, we hope we've at least managed to guide you.
